I hope it will be great, prosperous for all.

From Spain to South Africa, a newsletter to present a new destination

Hello everybody,

Before starting my traditional newsletter, I wish you a happy new year 2005.
I hope it will be great, prosperous for all.

Some events during 2004 that important for me:

• - The « Mars Exploration Rover »
• - Madrid “Terrorist” Attacks
• - The Olympic year in Greece
• - Israelites and Palestinians on a possible way to make peace
• - Afghanistan presidential election
• - Violence everyday in Irak from each part
• - US president election
• - Ukraine president election
• - The terrible natural catastrophe in Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka

I left Barcelona in Catalunya region.

I stayed in this city for four months and it was a very special city.
Many frenchies saw the movie « l’Auberge espagnole », but for me it was quite different.
I stayed from August to December in one job. But I spend lots of time following the Spanish life style.

• - Discover the fashionable places like the marseilla for the famous absynte, the champagneria with the special sandwiches and the cava white or rose.
• - All differents events in this city
• - All afternoon to play “petanque” in ciutadela park

I need to thank some people.

Firstly, my younger brother Arnaud who help me to find a job and share his flat.

Next are some frenchies who live in Barcelona :

• - Yann the sex toy who know the city very well.
• - Pierrot a famous petanque player.
• - Evelyne and her sister.

And there are Spanish people like

• - Mark the Catalan guy, Yann’s friend who help me to understand Barcelona
• - Jordi my roommate and help me to learn Spanish language
• - Jordi’s Jordi friend, together supporters of FC Barcelona

I forget there names but I’ll never forget them.

Then in Africa, …

I’m in South Africa, Port Elizabeth indefinitely.
A new continent, a new country to discover.

A few explications about Port Elizabeth:

This is the birth place of Nelson Mandela and many tourist books said also it’s the most friendly city.

Its in Eastern cost of South Africa, in the front of Indian Ocean, the province is Eastern Cap.

My first impressions were quite funny.
In the airport, it exist a guns reclaim office, then if you would like to come
here with your magnum or your berretta, don’t forget to record it !!!

During the transport to go to Dave’s house, I was quite surprise to see so many
open spaces in this city. A lot to trees are on the streets like euclapytus,
sequoia, pins, …

Soon …

When I see the city and around, I will take lots of photos and write stories on my web site about them.
Some short breaks in Durban, Cape Town, Kruger Nature Reserve, …
Might learn another language …
I’m live near the ocean, I’ll take up surfing (I’ll skip the sharks, is it Yann ??)

In the mean time …

• - Find a flat or house with my next roommate, Wayne from London
• - Have my South Africa rythm
• - It is the summer here, then I’ll have some good time

In medium time …

• - Buy a car
• - Take in the sites in Cap Town, Durban, Johannesburg (Joburg) and the rest of this country.
• - Go to see my friends in ozzy land
• - Learn the history of this young country
• - Get a tan

And as always, find a girlfriend.

To finish, I’ll enounce some real facts:
